Multi-store & register access
Who works at which branch, on which till — assignments keep shifts and stock honest.

With more than one location, each staff member's store and register assignment decides what they see: which till they sign into, whose stock they touch, which branch's sales land under their name.
Assign someone
- Open Staff & access → Users and open the staff member.
- Set their store — the branch they work at. "No store" gives a floating user (owner/admin who works everywhere).
- Set their register — the specific till. "No register" lets them pick at sign-in.
- Save — it applies on their next sign-in.
Why it matters
- Day close counts per register — a cashier floating between tills scrambles the Z-report. See day close.
- Stock is per-location — a sale at the wrong location debits the wrong shelf.
- Transfers need a dispatcher at the source and a receiver at the destination — see transfer stock.
Roles vs assignments
They work together: role says what they can do, store/register says where. A warehouse role + branch B assignment = someone who only receives stock at branch B.
Note: Changing someone's assignment mid-shift doesn't move their open shift — have them close it at the old register first.
