Using Smart POS

Smart POS is the keyboard-first till: no menus to hunt through. You type what you want in one box and the screen reshapes around it.
The omnibox
Type into the big bar at the top — it understands:
- A product —
2 nikeadds two Nike items to the cart - An amount + reason —
500 chowkidaropens an expense - A customer — name or phone number
- An invoice number — opens that sale for returns/reprints
Press Enter to run whatever it found. Press / from anywhere to jump back to the box.
Tip: Google-style suggestions drop under the box while you type — glance down before pressing Enter.
The screen follows you
- The stage (middle) shows what you're doing — idle dashboard, sale cart, recovery, expense, cashbook.
- The rail (side) is amounts and the numpad — when no text field is focused, physical number keys feed the numpad. Type the tendered amount, Enter charges.
- The dock (bottom) is every mode one tap away: Sell, Recovery, Expense, Pay-in, Drop, Return, Exchange, Cashbook — each bound to an F-key.
The fast loop
Type a product → Enter picks it → Enter again charges → type the tendered amount → Enter → receipt prints. Hands never leave the keyboard.
