The till keeps a running snapshot of the open cart. If the browser crashes, the power blinks, or someone hits refresh mid-sale, Recovery brings it back.
Recover the cart
- Reopen the POS and sign back into the shift.
- Press F5 (Recovery).
- The interrupted cart reloads — items, quantities, discounts and customer intact.
- Finish it like a normal sale, or clear it if the customer left.
Recovery vs Hold
- F5 Recovery → the till was interrupted (crash, reload, power). Automatic — you didn't choose to park it.
- F2 Hold / F3 Recall → you chose to park a sale to serve someone else first.
Note: If a payment went through but the page died before the receipt printed, check F9 — Invoice history first: the sale may already be posted, and you can simply reprint from there instead of re-ringing it.
