DROPSHIPPING NETWORK · RETURNS & RTO

Returns and RTO — the real cost of COD, made visible.

In Pakistani COD e-commerce, refused parcels and returns are not edge cases — they are a line item. SYEZPOS tracks RTO and customer returns through the same order pipeline, posts the reversals to the ledger, and keeps the courier-cost question answered by the agreement, not by argument.

Two kinds of return

RTO — return to origin — is the refused parcel: the customer will not take it, and the courier brings it back. It never became a sale, but it already cost a delivery attempt.

A customer return happens after delivery — the parcel was accepted, then sent back. Returns carry a reason on the record: customer_return, damaged, wrong_item — so you can tell a sizing problem from a supplier quality problem.

  • RTO = refused at the door, returned to origin
  • Customer returns happen after acceptance
  • Return reasons: customer_return, damaged, wrong_item
  • Both flow through the same order pipeline

Partial returns on multi-supplier orders

A single customer order can be fulfilled by more than one supplier — SYEZPOS splits it into per-supplier fulfillments, each with its own tracking and status.

So when a customer returns only one item, only that supplier's fulfillment goes through return — the rest of the order stays delivered and settled. Partial returns post against the items they actually cover.

  • Multi-supplier orders split into per-supplier fulfillments
  • Return only the items the customer sent back
  • Other suppliers' fulfillments stay delivered
  • Partial return posts against its own lines

Who pays for the return leg

The courier charges for the return trip the same as the trip out. Who bears that cost — supplier or reseller — is defined in the partner agreement, and SYEZPOS records the charge on the order so it lands on the agreed side.

RTO exposure is why the confirmation step exists: every fake or unconfirmed order you cancel before dispatch is a return courier fee you never pay.

  • Return courier fees are agreement-defined
  • Charges recorded on the order, not absorbed silently
  • Confirmation before dispatch cuts RTO spend
  • RTO rate measurable per supplier and product

Reversals and disputes

A return is not just a parcel — it is money moving backwards. When a sold order is returned, the settlement reverses and the marketplace commission credits itself automatically on the reseller's next monthly invoice.

If a returned amount lands wrong in a payout, the receiving side disputes it with a note on the record — the dispute, the note and the journal entries stay until resolved.

  • Returns post reversal entries in the ledger
  • Commission auto-credits on the monthly invoice
  • Payout disputes carry a written note
  • Refund responsibility follows the agreement

How it works

1

Parcel comes back

Refused at the door (RTO) or returned after delivery with a reason.

2

Return is logged

The order moves to returned/RTO with its reason and courier charges on record.

3

Money reverses

Settlement reverses for the returned lines; commission credits automatically.

4

Dispute if needed

If a payout reflects the return wrong, the receiver disputes it with a note.

Who its for

Who returns handling is for

Resellers whose customers return or refuse parcels — your margin calculation already accounts for it: returned lines reverse, commission credits itself, and the courier cost lands where the agreement says it should.

Suppliers receiving stock back — returned goods come through the same pipeline as your outbound orders, with reasons attached, so quality issues and serial refusers are visible in the record.
